Most campaigns start in a tavern. Crit Juice stays there.
Crit Juice is made up of a group of geeks and nerds who also happen to be some of the funniest professional actors and comedians Hollywood has to offer. Click on any of the links below to find out more information on them or their characters.
DANIEL ACKER grew up in Columbus, Ohio and at a young age he knew he wanted to get out of there. He’s part of Trust Fall, Frenemies, and The Gym. Basically, Daniel keeps busy with performing comedy. If you don’t see him performing improv or sketch, perhaps, you can catch him doing some stand up. He writes sketch comedy for Maker Studios. He currently writes for the CBS Diversity Showcase.
MATT BUCHHOLTZ is a coffee addict and an all-around good guy. He writes comedy and plays a lot of video games. He studied at Upright Citizen’s Brigade and The Groundlings, and went to The University of Washington. He writes for Machinima, Backlot Digital, and other places here and there.
He’ll also take some California Rolls. You deliver, right?
MATT COOK grew up on the Jersey shore but instead of learning how to surf or skate like his friends, he spent his time honing his video game and action figure skills from the safety of his bedroom. Not much has changed except he’s now doing that in LA. Matt can be seen on the upcoming TBS series Clipped and has been on The Comeback, 2 Broke Girls, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mom, and True Blood. Matt is a current Main Company member at The Groundlings.
TOM FONSS hails from a dark and treacherous land known as: San Diego. He has appeared in numerous TV shows like Community, HBO’s The Comeback, The Big Bang Theory & Jimmy Kimmel Live! He is an alumnus of the UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television and The Groundlings Sunday Company. Tom’s interests are: dogs, whiskey & homemade pickles (in that order).
BRIAN McGRATH made a resolution last year to become nerdier. Because of Dungeons & Dragons, fantasy sports, and HBO shows, Brian is as nerdy as his friend’s can stand. He has performed improv all over Los Angeles as a member of the comedy group, Serious V-Neck. Recently Brian shot the pilot Misaligned and was a recurring character on the show Impression Guys on Soul Pancake .You can also spot Brian in commercials on your TV. Visit him at IMDB, on twitter, or at his apartment in Valley Village.
"HANDSOME" GARY SOLDATI hails from the streets of Western MA where he found comic books, basketball and his dwarven heritage. Gary dreams of playing the dramatic character in a comedic series about RPG’s. He learned from incredible folks at UCB and Groundlings and once struggled with “salt and pepper hair” (that afforded him a “young father” typecast for Target and Disney). Now, Gary mostly struggles to balance his Twitter account while teaching his daughter the correct pronunciation of superheroes.
DAVID CRENNEN is writer living in Los Angeles. He is honored to be the Game Master that parts the veils of reality for the Crit Juice podcast. His dream is that one day, when the nation is ready for it, he might be considered America’s DM. In addition to his writing, he also runs the Star Wars RPG podcast “Never Tell Me The Odds!” and blogs about Trader Joe’s. His favorite magical beast is currently the Zaratan.
